DVD FormatsDVDs are a bit complex, and as a distribution company, we’re just learning, but from all we’re told we can expect a bit of compatibility issues. REGIONS – There is a “region” of #1 through #6 on some DVDs. These restrict the playing of the DVD in most machines to a specific geographic area. But all the DVDs we sell are “Region 0,” or no region, so that they are set to play in any region. Region is not a problem for any DVD disk you get from MFDI. NTSC and PAL – The signal on a DVD is either PAL or NTSC. Most DVD players overseas in PAL areas will automatically convert an NTSC signal to PAL and output that to PAL televisions so either a PAL or NTSC DVD will play fine. In the USA, some DVD players can do this too, and automatically convert a PAL signal to NTSC so that the normal American NTSC-only television set can show the DVD fine. But some American DVD players cannot do this and the picture on the television that they’re connected to will continuously flip and be strange as it is a PAL signal that the normal American television set cannot handle. PLAYING A DVD ON A COMPUTER – Generally a computer can play any DVD just fine. There is a chance that a DVD that is limited to a specific region won’t work, but no DVDs from MFDI are so limited. We have never heard of a computer that has trouble with PAL – NTSC issues. Also there can be media issues, i.e. the disk itself could be of a sort that a particular DVD player can’t handle. This is unusual and generally only a problem with old DVD players. MFDI uses only top quality media. If you have any troubles with a DVD from MFDI, first try it in a computer and/or another DVD player and see if it works. Then contact MFDI and we’ll work out how to proceed. DVD disks can become scratched or damaged in some way, but careful handling should prevent this. The schoolboy hero, Tiyane, is also a rising young soccer star. He finds himself caught between the conflicts of school, peer group pressures, his sport, his family, falling in love and the consequences of a one-night stand.
